Sri Lanka Tourism has concluded its Australia and New Zealand Roadshow Series in Perth, bringing together more than 85 Australian travel agents and tour operators for a day focused on business-to-business engagement, industry networking and the promotion of Sri Lanka as a preferred holiday destination.
The Perth programme, the final stop of the roadshow series, provided a platform for Sri Lankan tourism representatives and members of the Australian travel trade to strengthen existing industry relationships while exploring new opportunities to increase visitor traffic from Australia and New Zealand.
The programme featured a series of B2B meetings, a press conference and destination presentations highlighting Sri Lanka’s tourism offerings. The event also included cultural performances, content creator sessions, a question-and-answer segment and a raffle draw, before concluding with a gala dinner.
The strong turnout from the Australian travel industry underscored the importance of direct engagement between destination representatives and travel professionals as Sri Lanka seeks to expand its presence in the Australian and New Zealand tourism markets.
The roadshow series was designed to provide travel agents and tour operators with greater insight into Sri Lanka’s diverse tourism experiences, ranging from its beaches, wildlife and scenic landscapes to its cultural heritage, adventure activities and culinary experiences.
The Perth event also provided an opportunity to communicate Sri Lanka’s readiness to welcome more visitors from Australia and New Zealand, while strengthening cooperation with travel industry partners responsible for marketing and selling the destination.
With the conclusion of the Perth programme, Sri Lanka Tourism has completed its Australia and New Zealand Roadshow Series, laying the groundwork for further engagement with travel trade partners and new promotional opportunities across the two markets.
