Quickee.lk, Sri Lanka’s favourite online marketplace, recently provided a state-of-the-art digital interactive smartboard system to S. Thomas’ College, Mt Lavinia. This provision is one of the many social empowerment projects conducted by Quickee.lk and it aims to facilitate students with an enhanced learning experience.

Mr. Sammy Akbar, CEO of Quickee.lk said: “We are indeed happy to equip our students with latest technology to continue their studies in an advanced manner. This is a highly versatile smartboard that incorporates all the necessary features to improve the quality of learning and ensure high level of interaction during learning. We believe that the students at S. Thomas’ College will be largely benefitted through this, and we expect to further strengthen our efforts towards advancing the local education system.”

The smartboard, with its large, 75-inch display panel, is a modern powerhouse in delivering interactive teaching and learning. It can instantly store various drawings, and notes in its 1 TB hard disk drive for later retrieval and the dual operating system enables the 75E29P3 smartboard to perform in many demanding teaching scenarios that students of S. Thomas’ often require.

The smartboard’s multi-tasking capabilities help students to conveniently engage in group activities and presentations. Both the teachers and students can store their assignments, lessons, and other data, so that all the learning materials can be accessed from one place. This smartboard can also be used to watch educational videos and listen to podcasts and audios, which help students to expand their knowledge. Since it supports faster USB connectivity, playing high quality videos too is a possibility on this device. Being a lightweight device, it can be easily shifted from one class to another and can be placed in a moving stand or set up in a wall mount.

Quickee.lk, since its inception, has extended its support to schools with a special focus on enhancing the quality of education through many contributions.  It not only empowers students by providing a better education, but also continues to uplift sports in schools. Among its notable efforts, Quickee.lk, recently stepped forward to empower Sri Lanka schools’ rugby 2022 and is looking forward to driving more school outreach initiatives.
