The one-day issuance of passports will resume from 17th May, the Department of Immigration and Emigration informed yesterday. The passport issuance has been suspended due to an urgent maintenance of the computer systems.
Due to the technical issue occurred, prior appointments to hand over passport applications have been made mandatory from 10 May.
Applicants are requested to make their prior appointments via the website http://www.immigration.gov.lk/ or by contacting 0707101060.
